$GEN Governance Token

Overview

$GEN is the governance utility token of the Green Energy Network (GEN), designed to empower community-driven growth and decentralized protocol oversight. Unlike the $GENX token, which is tied to asset-backed yield, $GEN grants its holders rights to participate in governance, access exclusive ecosystem features, and benefit from long-term network value creation.

$GEN enables token holders to propose and vote on key ecosystem decisions, such as new project onboarding, treasury allocations, feature upgrades, protocol partnerships, and strategic roadmap evolution. It serves as the backbone of GEN’s decentralized energy traceability and investment platform.

Key Features

  • Governance Utility: Proposal submission and voting rights for platform upgrades, project approvals, and treasury management.

  • Ecosystem Incentives: Rewards from protocol revenue, exclusive airdrops, access to token launchpads, and early participation rights.

  • Staking Benefits: Stake $GEN to earn protocol fees and governance power; optional lock-up tiers offer higher reward multipliers.

  • Network Expansion Allocation: Supports liquidity mining, ecosystem development grants, partner incentives, and community growth initiatives.

  • Regulated Token Infrastructure: Compliant token operations via trust and custodian frameworks for transparency and auditability.

Token Utility & Flow

1

Proposal Governance

Token holders can create and vote on proposals affecting GEN's strategic direction, project inclusion, and fund usage.

2

Staking Mechanism

  • Stake $GEN to earn a share of platform fees (from $GENX fund management, tokenization, and credit exchange).

  • Optional ve-model or tiered lockups for power boosting and long-term alignment.

3

Revenue Share Pool

  • A portion of network revenue is allocated to $GEN stakers:

    • Sourced from:

      • Tokenization

      • Fund Management

      • Transaction

      • Data API subscription fees

4

Access Rights

$GEN holders gain:

  • Early access to $GENX offerings

  • Priority for trading

5

Treasury Governance

Strategic capital from the treasury is managed via community voting:

  • Ecosystem investments

  • Energy infrastructure grants
